Sierra Madre Research Stratos shelter

Anyone familiar with SMr's Nube' or Stratos? I have watched many videos and just don't see how this system provides much if any wind protection. Yes, you can purchase what they call a winter barrier but that means more bulk, weight and expense for a backpacker. If you're car camping not a problem but....what do my peers think?
