Video Review: Simply Light Designs Winter Haven

I just ordered the Winter Haven and thought I'd do a quick video to show you what its all about. The tarp appears to be very well made and is loaded with features. Let me know what you think.

I have one of Jared's Winter Havens for my Warbonnet Ridgerunner and love it. Speaking of custom, Jarred moved the side pull outs to line up with my RR spreader bars and it works great. This is my go to tarp year round as it's so light and I like the added protection in case of thunderstorms in the warmer months and it blocks wind in the colder months. Thanks for the video. Good job as usual and thanks for sharing.

That's very cool. Jared is a cool dude. I've been really happy with his stuff.

Great video! I've currently got a HG cuben fiber 11' tarp (no doors) and as much as I like how lightweight it is, I've been thinking about getting something like the Winter Haven for more coverage. I'm in a Blackbird XLC and am thinking for less than a pound more, I could get a bunch more coverage during those thunderstorms.

You'll save weight by getting an 11' tarp instead of the 12' tarp. It will fit your XLC better. You could also order less features - that might lighten it up a bit.

Great video. Jared made me a 12 footer about 3 years ago and it's my go to tarp for those winter trips. With the outer pull mod there's plenty of room!

11' hammock only needs an 11' tarp. You could get the 12' but it will be huge for the XLC. Not a bad thing I guess.

I just got the Trail Duster 2.0 from him! He add another cat cut for me, so I can use it sort-of-as-doors if I need to. I wanted as versatile as I could get, realizing that I'm not a fan of cold weather camping and generally go out for short trips (and can usually avoid bad weather accordingly). Counting the days til my Trail Lair gets here and I can set everything up!

You should post up some pics. I'd love to see it.
