    Black reflective tarp ridgeline problems

I have always used Dutch's ridgeline for all my tarps and was excited to see the new colors a while back with reflective options as it would be like the Lawson guy out cord I used. I have only used it on a couple of trips and the reflective strip is coming apart and out on the entire length. The worst part is the little pieces of reflective material are a somewhat sharp on the hands. If you ran your hand down the ridge line it feels like you would get tiny particle splinters. I haven't talked to Dutch yet and was more curious if anyone has experienced this?

Had my orange reflect it for a while, aside from sun fading I've had no other issues. Are you using it for guy lines as well as ridgeline?

I use it as my hammock ridgeline, whipping on my hammock, tarp ridgeline (2 piece, and continuous), guy lines, and food hoist line. Being closelined once is too much, and i already trip over my own feet i don't need help down there.

I made a loop of orange reflect-it for my keys. A true test of durability. I haven't had any problems.

My trail buddy tied a piece of dyneema on his keys almost a year and a half ago, it's still going. These types of cordage are extremely durable, even beyond what we would consider abuse.

No, I use Lawson cord for my guylines. His continuous ridge line feels different than the cordage I use on my guy outs. I wonder if it's just the black/reflective that has issues or if it's just mine. I will try and snap a photo.

My orange reflective ridgeline has also had this happen on the end with the wasp. I think it's from running over the horn while tightening the tarp. I'll eventually replace it with a none reflective one, I'll keep my reflective Dutchwire guylines though.

That's a possibility I didn't think of. The problem is on the wasp end. I know I just never had this issue when he was only selling the gray or yellow lash it. I might have to switch back also.
