    I used carbon fiber arrow shafts for several years with no problems. Then for some strange reason, I was not able to get more than four or five hangs on several consecutive sets without them showing some sort of damage.

    One afternoon while digging through my garage, I ran across old 8 man tent. I pulled the fiberglass poles out and cut them into appropriate sized pieces. I have been very happy with how they have been working.

    I've been meaning to ditch the CF toggles. I have them on one set of straps. The other has cut down alu shephards hook tent stake.

    I've been looking for one of those 7-11 straws Shug talks about, but no success yet.
    Yes, my pack weighs 70lbs, but it's all light weight gear....

    I use #7 knitting needle (aluminum), cut into 3" segments. Carbon fiber arrow shafts are too risky for me.
