PS, check your tarp connection loops. Mine had a malfunction last weekend. I was standing out in drizzle fixing my tarp after the loop came loose/disconnected.

I just didn't want to spend this kind of money, but finally caved. I tried some other options but none were/would be as sturdy and elegant as this.

That doesn't have to do with the stand itself. I just can't get pumped up to hang in my yard. I think it's a combination of lights, noises and privacy. Earplugs don't work for me. Plus some idiots were burning wet leaves last night.
But regarding the stand, they really need to market this better. I had no idea how nice this was! The photos online are pretty weak and not even representative of the actual product.
The carrying case is pretty cool with a built in pouch holding the stakes, lines and straps. I had no idea. The poles are easily adjusted, the painted finish is pretty good and overall easy to set up.
bags are okay and really need an update to stronger fabrics.

But that's still all I can do.
I've used the stand for motocycle camping and I think it works great for that purpose. It does stick out a bit on either side of the bike since it's so long, but it's manageable.
Here's a photo of the last time I had it out on an overnight trip.
Not sure I'd bring it on a cross country or extended moto camping trip, but I've had bigger and heavier loads on a 12k mile trip to Alaska so I imagine this stand would be capable as well.
Regarding the black finish, I wish they offered a bare bones option with no paint. It's such a crappy paint that flakes so easily, why even bother with it.
