Howdy from the Show Me State!

I'm still a novice hanger, but I have a couple of camping and hiking trips in the hammock now! I love it! I used to camp a lot as a kid, when my family dragged us around Europe. (Father is ex military & we were stationed in Germany.) I've only gotten into camping and hiking again in the last couple of years, as an adult. I love it! Between working and school, I try to make extra time to get out in the woods to reset the brain. I started with a little simple hammock from Dutchware, last summer, to make sure that I liked it before I threw >$100 on a hammock! Since I fell in love, I ordered a Dream Hammock Raven, which should be here shortly! I try to keep my pack minimal, comfy, and light weight.
I've used the forum to research a lot of options (they can be kind of overwhelming!) but also to see what others say, and why they like/dislike something. Unfortunately, I cannot just get things and try them out! Thanks for all the reading and opinions; they have been fun and a great help!

Hello! I'm also from Missouri but the military life has landed me in Alabama. Looks like you've made some great informed decisions on your kit. Kudos! Enjoy your return to camping!

Hey! Somebody from my neck of the woods.

Welcome to the gang. If there is any questions about great places around home, feel free to ask.
I've done about 80% of the OT, finished R2R, and a good majority of state parks in MO.
