Advice on type of Underquilt for WBBB

I have read through alot of these threads and I currently reviewing the UQ comparison file (you guys are awesome), but I have a few questions

    1. Full vs Partial?
    2. For 3 season - 20 Deg? or go with 10 deg for a few bucks more?
    3. Should I get overstuff?
    4. I have a WBBB, am I best served by a WB UQ? Or will any work?

Using the chart I found an "Underground Quilt, full, 20, on sale for $185.

    About me:
Brand new to Backpacking and Hammocking. I will be mostly in Mid-Atlantic area, may a some trips in the Northeast.

Looking for the best UQ for my WBBB. Thanks for all of your help!

Since you have the WBBB I'd highly recommend the WB Wooki under quilt. It makes deploying an under quilt on a gathered end hammock so easy and there's hardly any adjustments needed once your in the hammock. If not the Wooki then most any under quilt from any of our great cottage vendors will work. I'd recommend a 20° for a good all around fall/winter/spring quilt. Personally I do not like partial length quilts as I have to carry an alternative way to keep my feet and legs warm and it's yet another thing to have to keep organized while in the hammock which can be a challenge especially when your tired at the end of a long hike.

I was leaning towards the Wookie, but I met someone out on the trail last night with a BB and Wookie, and she said if you aren't sleeping on a perfect diagonal that you will have could spots. She said especially near the shoulder closest to the net. The wookie doesn't fully cover the hammock...I think this was done to help keep weight down?

For what it's worth, I have a friend with a WBBB XL and a Wookie. He has a couple other UQs by other companies (including Jacks R Better) but he says the Wookie is made to fit the BB specifically like a glove and requires very little fiddling. It fits better and is less hassle. It's the only UQ he wants to use with that hammock now.

Could that have been meant to say that you should be on a diagonal?
Why would you not be on a diagonal?

Advice on type of Underquilt for WBBB

I use a BB as well, and mix between a HG Incubator that works just fine. Just made a 3/4 Costco Down Throw UQ for warmer weather and thus far, I love it.

I considered a Wookie, but felt it was likely I would have another hammock that wasn't a BB and didn't want to be restricted with UQ compatibility.

Good point. I do not foresee having another hammock. Too many vintage stoves to buy.

You may have answered your question !

Though, there are plenty of folks using wookie's on non-WB hammocks. FWIW, I swore I would never move away from my BB, but at present I am looking at DIY eleven footer, so one never knows.

sounds like she didn't have the foot end of her hammock elevated enough or something else is wrong with her setup. The wookie is plug-and-sleep on the BB hammock.

The wookie works perfectly with hammocks other than WB's. Infact I've never owned a warbonnet hammock and the wookies is now my most priced possession in my kit

I saw a 1.1 Dbl BB (Not XLC) in the Blem section and after more than a week, and no one else took it, I could not resist. Maybe 'She' can use it.
I also found an unused MSR prototype stove that I bought today.
