When tearing down camp, I leave underquilt attached and top quilt in hammock. I sewed tiny loops to the hammock (2 on each hem, 2 feet from the center point on hammock edge). These are primarily for attaching the underquilt to the hammock edge which helps cut down drafts. A silicone hair tie is larksheaded to each loop and fitted with the smallest size all metal Nite-ize S-Biner. I hook the biners on one side to those directly across from them which closes up the hammock somewhat. Next I lean my pack against one of the trees and go to the other tree and untie the suspension. Then walk to my pack keeping hammock off the ground and stuff the whole package into the trash compactor plastic bag inside the pack. I finish by detaching the second suspension and stuffing in. If the webbing is wet I'll put it in ziplock bags as I go. I don't remove the suspension from the hammock- threfore I can't lose it. Next campsite, I reverse the process- quick and easy. No stuff sacks required.
