Try alcohol hand wipes,...they worked on removing sap from my WB SuperFly with no negative visible effect.
Purell hand sanitizer works great on tree straps. Assume same for hammock.
I've used goo-gone successfully on mine with no apparent ill effects.

Rubbing alcohol dissolves it right away.
I've had some sap drip on my both of my tarps (twice). I just did a gentle spray with water and it seemed to come off well enough.
