Snow Camping Trinity Alps

California had a great amount of snow this year and most of our high mountains are still covered in snow. I was fortunate enough to be able to take a week off to summit Shasta as well as explore the nearby mountains. Weather was warm during the day and pleasant at night. The snow and steep inclines means we still needed axe and crampons, but glisading down was really fun once the snow got soft in the afternoon.

Beautiful, great shots! I miss living out there and the amazing locations to get away. I think next summer I'm going to head back and do the Tahoe Rim Trail. Thanks for sharing this trip with us!
