I am looking for good thin, light static cord to use with cord locks
for stuff sacks.
I found some polyester 1mm cords online but I really dont know whats best.
Any suggestions for good cords?

I used paracord on mine but it didn't slide very nicely with the fabric (which is why said stuff sack currently has no cordlocks at the moment).
Do you have any cordage lying around? You can always swap it out later and have your stuff sack on the ready.
The best cordage will depend on the intended use. Fora toiletries bag you don't need 500 Ibs rated cordage....
Good luck!

I'm currently trying out some 1mm Dyneema braided 8 strand fishing line. It's on a new stuff sack I made for my DIY tarp. My concern is that it might be a little too thin, so we'll see how it impacts the durability of the 1.1oz SilPoly channel on the bag. I want to try splicing this stuff for some continuous loops (Klemheist onto my ridgeline), but I can't find a loop turner stiff enough and thin enough to work.
Generally, I've use 2.2mm or 1.75mm Zing-It/Lash-It. It mostly just comes down to which color goes better with my stuff sack. Dyneema slides nicely through my sack materials.
I have been using lash-it for heavy duty use or mason line for lighter use. Mason line is softer and also splicable but you need a longer bury.

I use Dutchwire for my tarp tie outs, it is super thin, no-tangle,90lbs breaking strength, and can hold it's shape. I'm sure It's up to the task.

I have a spool of the Micro Cord from Dutchware that I use. It's lightweight, it holds knots well, it works well with mini cord locks, and it's super cheap.
ZPacks has some 1mm Polyester Cord that caught my eye as well as some even smaller "Tiny Cord Locks" if you are trying to go ultralight. I've been wanting to try them myself, but it looks like my spool of Micro Cord will last me a lifetime (at least at the rate I've been getting around to my projects).
+1 on the microcord !

I use this unless I don't have any on hand, then I use Zingit. This Mini Cord grips the cordlock much better though and is cheap.

I also use ZPacks tiny cord locks, they're just a tiny bit "tinier" than other small cord locks I've tried. I like 1.25 zline or 1.0 dutchwire. I've used zingit with double ended stuff sacks for hammocks and it has served me well, but the other cords mentioned have more surface "grit".
Zline for the win! The stiffness makes for easy handling. - Whoa that sounds bad
