Midshipman's hitch. (The cool kid's tautline hitch)

Pile hitch for me. I leave my lines attached to tarp.
D-rings>shock cord loop>1.1 reflective line larksheaded to the shock cord loop.
Pile hitch line to stake>pull tight>push stake in ground.
Here is the pile hitch. Learned it right here on the forum from Redoleary

+1 I've been using this since I saw it in another thread too. Fast, secure, and it removes easily. Downside is if you have to re-tension, it pretty much requires a complete re-do. I'm not currently using shock cord, but have considered trying it out. Should solve the re-tensioning problem.
I just use a girth hitch / cow hitch / larkshead on the stake itself. I find it's plenty strong for that application, especially if there is already elastic tension on the line.
I use Lineloc3's attached to tarp. Guylines are 6ft of Lawson 2mm Glowire with a loop in the end. I drop the loop over the stake and pull taut at the Lineloc...
These are pretty darned quick,
The shockcord loop stays permanently larksheaded on the tarp tieouts.
Just pull the loop on the end of the guyline and it unravels to 6 feet (wrapped up in a fig8 style over two fingers).
Loop it over your peg/branch/whatever and tension with the lineloc.
(3mm shockcord, 1.5mm sheathed dyneema)
I've been using mini-ucr's for a while now. Works for me. Larks head line to tarp and leave attached. Midshipman's or bowline at the stake end. Stakes are stored in separate sack, but i tie 6-8" of high viz 1mm cord to each to help ensure i don't leave behind.
