Roadtrippin
Me and some mates are doing a roadtrip from England to France, Belgium, Switzerland and Italy.
We have hammocked every night so far except in Belgium where we slept on the floor of a derelict power station.
It started in Plymouth, UK.
We met on the beach and took my RIB to a deserted island called Drakes Island. Used in the Napoleonic war and WW2 also.
We slept in the bomb store, and as usual, found cracks to wind our pittons into
Then to the ferry for a short trip and France was first. And also my first camp right in the middle of a forest.
We found a random pagoda so had dinner under it and slept swinging from the trees.
Second night was on to Belgium and the power station and from there, through Switzerland, into Italy, and lake Como.
Here we slept on the roof of an adandoned hotel, high up the mountains.
People pay a fortune to wake up to this view.
From here, we hit the other side of the lake to chill out for a day, swimming and fishing.
We had aimed to set off late in the day and head further South, but we saw a derelict house, with lake view, so stopped here.
Quite possibly my favorite hang.
The houses boat house.
Then we broke down today, so who knows where we will end up tonight!

So far so good. Those are some great places to hang and a different view each night is icing on the cake.
