Great review! Thanks for sharing. I pulled the trigger on an Operator Series set on the last day of the sale and look forward to trying them out. Should be a perfect solution for hanging here in the South.

Just ordered a set but declined the stuff sacks. After reading this review describing the roominess and seeing the pic with the label, which making organizing easier, I wish I had bought them.

Edit: Stuff sacks were ordered after all, I heard from George quickly after an inquiry.

Great 2nd anniversary sale going on, right now.

Thanks so much for the review. I literally just bookmarked the pages on Loco Libre's site to the 50 degree Operator top quilt and underquilt. I am thinking this may be my next set of work quilts. I work a lot in SE Asia and the pacific, so I can get away with lighter rated stuff. I usually supplement with a pad in between layers and a good ol issued woobie over my top quilt if it gets too cold for the quilts. My only concern would be that its only 50" long. I'm not tall at 5'7", but prefer full length quilts because my feet are usually the first thing to get cold. I would imagine this would not cover my feet. If they made the same underquilt in full length, I'd buy it in a heartbeat. Curious, what do you do to insulate your feet with a 3/4 length quilt?

Above 50F I might use a small closed-cell sit pad inside my top quilt under my heels, but much of the time I use this quilt I don't even bother, since I usually sleep in clean sleep socks when I'm in my hammock. I've slept in this underquilt into the mid-40s and never been cold.
