I know it's short notice, but the German Hammock Forums will have a group hang near Frankfurt and hangers from other countries are welcome to join us. The hang will be from Thursday, June 15th, to Sunday, June 18th. There is a fee of 5€ per day and person to pay for the site, fire wood, toilet paper, trash bags etc.
The site is located in a beautiful wooded area. There are two toilets with running water, a big lean-to with tables and benches in case it rains, a roofed fire-place and plenty of trees for hanging. There will be a couple of communal meals and snacks, but you will need to bring your own food for the rest of the time. There is a supermarket in the neighboring village in case you prefer to buy locally.
Apart from people bringing and showing their personal gear, there will be gear to see and try from La Siesta, Amazonas, Ticket to the Moon and Häng.
For people understanding German, there's more information here. If you want to come, you will need to sign up and pay for you stay in advance. You can either do this directly with the organizers via the German forum, or you can PM me and I'll translate for you. Although most participants are German or Austrian, many speak English and possibly another language. I'm sure we will be able to communicate.
