Video: Quick review of the Simply Light Designs Lair

I recently ordered a Simply Light Designs - Trail Lair 12' hammock. After one night in it, I decided to sell all of my other hammocks. That is how impressed I was. Below is a quick "impromptu" review of the Trail Lair. I'm sure I missed a few things, but you should get the idea of what the hammock is all about.

M². Did you get the new nano-see-um on your hammock? Why did you choose the 12 footer over the 11? Do you have an 12 foot tarp for this rig?

Yes on the Nano. I got the 12' because its bigger and more comfortable. It's down right luxurious. I have a 12' tarp on its way. 12' Trail Haven.

Great review of a fantastic product. The Simply Light Designs Trail Lair indeed deserves a place in the pantheon of all-time great camping hammocks. I have ordered gear from Jared many times and use his hammocks and tarps regularly. I liked that you touched on two important points with regard to the Trail Lair, the first of which is the utility of having two sets of zippers on the retractable net. The second point is the lightning speed with which Jared and Simply Light Designs will fulfill your order. No matter how custom your order may be, if he has the materials on hand your order is almost always in your mailbox in less than 100 hours... That's just amazing in my book, especially considering his level of craftsmanship and attention to detail.

I love my Trail Lair; it was my first serious camping hammock, and I know I will never ever sell mine.

Thanks for the great review. I'm on my second Trail Lair, since I sold my original one and had Jared make me one out of Hexon 1.0. It's super comfortable and I easily have 50 or more nights in mine. You'll like the Trail Haven tarp. I'm the proud owner of beta TH #1. SLD rocks!
