I recently picked up an extra SLD trail lair off his ready to go gear list for $119, so that didn't break the bank!

You could start using an inflatable pad, which might help.

That is, if you blow it up and set it on the ground beside you. At least then you'll have something soft to land on. Then you can just pull your TQ out of the hammock, and finish the night sleeping on the ground.

Wildhorn Outfitters 11' long 6.6' wide $45 on Amazon. This is hammock number five for me and it's the cheapest. I've been in it day and night for 3 days and it's great! It is now my go to hammock ! Plus my wookie works great with it! Came with everything but the Ridgeline which I added.

The ENO DN is 74x112. Buy a 90x132 tablecloth and make your own - http://www.tableclothsfactory.com/Cr...vers-s/136.htm.
