Ridgepole length for turtledog stand

I am making two turdledog stands, and will be using 12 foot ugq winterdream tarps. How long should I make the pole?

The tarp length has less to do with the ridge pole length than the type of hammock you want to hang. For my Ridgerunner I need a 14ft ridge pole to get the proper hang angle. For most gathered end hammocks 12-13 feet should work well.
