Looks fine. Maybe align the left shoulder side a bit more. There will be gaps in areas that don't have the pressure of body weight. It doesn't affect quilt performance

These are not the gaps you're looking for.
As long as there's down where the hammock stretches, you'll be warm.
Your mate is surprisingly shy. Is he famous?

Forget what it looks like. As long as it's warm, nothing is wrong. I know it's difficult to ignore the look when you are used to a traditional underquilt. But the Wooki is a different animal - it doesn't work like a traditional underquilt, and it doesn't look like one, either. The only important thing is that it is flush against you / your hammock in the places that are weighted (by your body). Try pushing a hand between the Wooki and the hammock while you're lying in it. Where your body touches the hammock, you should feel the Wooki pressing against your hand.

Maybe his buddy has a big zit on his face he was embarrassed about! LOL! I have never had anyone else lay in my hammock with Wooki so I have no idea if it even has similar gaps. But it's warm regardless!! One thing I learned quickly was to always tie the grograin ribbon to the hammock on the back side. It keeps things lined up better.

Mine looks the same way. I've found in my very brief experience with the Wooki it's not exactly "set it and forget it." There is a tiny bit of adjustment, i.e. pulling it over slightly to cover my left shoulder. But that's about it.

One thing I'm really liking about the Wooki is there no longer is the feeling of shockcord against my feet like the other underquilts I've recently used.

Have you slept the night in it?
You should give it a go before you go and worry about it too much. Brandon knows what he is doing.

Shug have/would you consider putting the Wookie on your Dutch Cameleon? To me, that would make an interesting video.
