Don't fill bad me ether. Last time i did it was in The Marines, and everybody was cool but we all had full auto m-16's or m-60's. I sleep with 1 eye open and finger on the trigger. Just kidding both eye's are closed.

This is a good group!
I am definitely out for all of this month. I'm starting a new job, moving, and had outpatient surgery last week. Will be under lifting restrictions for a few weeks. On the plus side, my Chameleon arrived. Can't wait to test drive it.
I guess I am good the 16th thru the rest of the month but only if there is a weekend night that stays decently cool. Hobo I have the second week of July off, thinking maybe a mid week beat the crowd trip to dolly sods , just kicking around the idea.

Sorry all! I've been out of the loop the last few days. Celebrated another B-day...and I already forgot how old I am now! I'll try to go back through the thread and update the grid. Personally, I think I'm good anytime, temp, or wx. Back soon!
Trees, I like that idea. I'll run it by my social secretary, but let's say it's a go for now!

Sounds good hobo hopefully we can make something happen.

Okay, campers! Looks like the 23rd or 30th. If Theck is still good for 23rd, that might be the way to go. Next question, where to go?
Mohican is an old friend. Short walk in but still isolated. No water but the lot is within a 1/4 mile.
Zaleski is less well known to me, but likely crowded (?).
Archer's fork? Never been there, but it's on my list to try.

(again, sorry I've been a bit remiss in this thread!)

I am waiting on my sons friend to move back to Ohio. He knows some people who live down by Lucasville on 23 who own some property there. Until he moves back it's in limbo. On to other thing's, how many places do you guy's camp that don't allow fires out side of specific areas? Do you camp in those areas? The reason i ask is i have ate too may meals out of a can in the service. i can work around not having a fire, i have some MRE's but i think they are worse than c-rations.
No just the little Miami and Mad River back in the mid 70's. I have just started to camp once more, never use a hammock but willing to try it.
Well, I snuck out for a quickie yesterday. Hit Mohican site 10. Humidity was a killer, but my trusty fan kept the hammock quite comfy. Very peaceful with only a couple of raccoons to chase away. The only tribulation was of my own doing. I forgot my dang spoon! Faced with hot chili and tater/eggs, I was not looking forward to eating with my fingers. Desperation is the mother of invention, though. I wound up whittling a makeshift spoon out of a stick. Not pretty, but functional! Maybe it's time to start a new hobby.
BTW, if can can come up with a destination, I'm still up for another hang this month!

My makeshift spoon. Not sure why it's turned 90°.
