2018 Spring MAHHA Save the Date

Unfortunately our St Maarten trip got canceled Feb 2018 because the island got destroyed, but what it means is that instead of the 2019 Spring MAHHA hang, we can attend the 2018 Spring MAHHA HANG!!!! I'm so excited!!! I have never been to Gettysburg either which is cool. We have to run it by our daughter and make sure as a family it works. Quick question for those who are in the know: If we come wednesday, from what I understand, we can camp maybe in the group area if we reserve it? Anyone know how much it costs to do that? We would like to set up our hammocks and not have to move them come friday.

Group sites A or B =$40/night
Group site C = $20/night

Reserve America has the listings.

I’ve rented one of the larger sites for a couple days after MAHHA in the past and my recollection was about $45/night.

OK thank you! So my understanding is the MAHHA hang reserves all 6 of the sites and that they each hold 20-40 campers per site. So when you reserve one of the sites, during the hang you will have a bunch of people around you right?

So, last question tonight, it says that those sites can only be reserved under the auspices of some organization type thing, like MAHHA. Am I to assume if we want to come on wednesday and we would like to reserve say, site C, we would do it under the cover of MAHHA and anyone else who is coming early could also camp with us and possibly pitch in for the cost (if we really cared)? Those sites you have to call so if we decide to go, I will want to reserve a site right quick and want to know how to do it before I call and bug the park staff! "Oh brother, I got another weirdo hammocker asking goofy questions, Bill, you wanna take this one? It's your turn ya know!" HAHAHAHA!!

Well it's a done deal, so long as we can arrange someone to give our stupid cat his insulin injections! We discussed our vacation plans and such and we agreed, a trip down to PA to hang with everyone and explore Gettysburg and the AT museum and all that is going to happen in 2018!!! (a year earlier than expected as we planned on 2019 originally) We can't wait!!!

Well it's a done deal, so long as we can arrange someone to give our stupid cat his insulin injections! We discussed our vacation plans and such and we agreed, a trip down to PA to hang with everyone and explore Gettysburg and the AT museum and all that is going to happen in 2018!!!
