    XLC zip feature ?

I was playing around in my XLC when I realised my zip wouldn't open from the inside. I asked my friend to open it from the outside for him to say, the zip isn't there!

I eventually opened it using a bit of force. When I had a closer look, there is a gap in between the material where the outside zip compresses into, so it's no longer accessible from the outside, perhaps a safety feature ?

If it is a safety feature, does anyone else gets stuck a little ?

I can provide pictures later once I get it set up again

If I'm understanding the issue, it's a "complete closure" issue rather than a safety issue. The zipper simply zips all the way into the top to complete the protection. I'm not sure why you couldn't unzip it from the inside though.

The zip continues beyond closure taking the outside zip handle behind the material, not sure if this is meant to happen to stop anyone from opening it from the outside or I'm zipping it too far hence it got stuck.

I hope that makes better sense ?

I have had the same thing happen a couple of times on my XLC - it was quite difficult to get it open from the inside. I've taken to leaving a pinky-finger width opening to avoid this situation, and so far the mosquitos haven't figured it out yet.

? I just ordered an XLC, so I'm tagging this for info. Would adding a longer tab to the zipper pull help with this?

I'm still trying to figure out what you guys are talking about! I have the XLC and have not had a problem with the zippers once I put it on the hammock. I hate going around the ends when putting the bug net back on but no problems after that but you guys got me wondering. I hang alone and would hate to destroy my net to get out!

I think attaching a quick loop of zingit or some other cord would solve this wouldn't it? If I am thinking about it correctly anyways. I have a XLC ordered as well and planned to attach loops to the zippers for easy in and out.

I just got back from my XLC's maiden voyage, and i had the same problem on two occasions. Got a little frantic for a second haha. Like millem23, from then on, i left it open just a pinky width, and all was good.
