Im thinking of getting out at least 1 night this weekend maybe 2 on the I&M at the Mc Kinley woods site, anyone interested speak up and we can plan something. As always, all are welcome, if anyone has any questions ask away and i will do my best to answer.

Rats! I'll be out of town this weekend. I'm starting to get I&M withdrawl.
I was actually planning to take my 10yr old son camping for the first time on Friday night. We were thinking of going to Gebhard Woods- to avoid the 3mile hike that's required from CSP to McKinley Woods. But perhaps McKinley would be better, if I could somehow coordinate getting all of our equipment there and avoiding the hike.
Any suggestions?

you can drop off gear to the site that is near mc kinley woods from the lower lot of mc kinley, but you can not leave your car there over night, you have to leave it in channahon state park. if you have a bike you can ride in from there. lots of us do that.
I would like to go, but I will not know until Thursday night.
Possibility. I will see what happens later in the week. I have not been in while. Mark I have a few items of yours that was left at one of the camp outs.
