Dream Hammock Raven

Hello, I was just wandering if anyone could give me their thoughts on the Dream Hammock Raven model. I really haven't been able to find much of any reviews anywhere online. I really like that the bug net is removable, it comes standard at 11', and that it's asymmetrical. I do have a few concerns with the bug net still. Since it is not fully integrated, how easily could bugs slip through the ends of the net? Also, are the tie out hooks really necessary to keep the bug net elevated off of my face. Thank you!

Net is a none issue, as you lay in the hammock your body weight seals the hammock to the net. And I have never had a issue with the net being floppy or in my face. My review was under the caption "something to Rave about"

I have the Raven. It's a fantastic hammock! The net is not an issue at all. And it seals off just fine when I'm inside. I highly recommend the Raven. With as modular as it is, you really can't beat it for the money.

And just an FYI, the Raven is symmetrical, not asymmetrical. It has no dedicated direction of lay. Not sure if you meant symmetrical and just mis-typed, or if you're really looking for an asymmetrical hammock.

I have 2 Ravens and they are my go to hammocks now. You won't regret buying one. Now your dilemma starts...which fabric, color, options. Have fun designing it. If you have any questions I would contact the Smurfs. Flat out great people to work with.

I own a hammocktent 90* and owned a WBRR. I didn't think there was any way that I would like a GE. Then, behold, one day a used Raven popped up on the FS forum and I snagged it. I liked it so much that I ended up selling the WBRR. I definitely am not disappointed and really like the symetrical lay, the ability to swap net or cover, and to have the net or cover placed up and out of the way along the ridge line for netless loafing or to leave at home. I'm not acquainted enough with the Sparrow style or Chameleon style cover/net, but it seems the Raven style cover/net may be a little more forgiving for mishaps entering or leaving the hammock.

The Raven is an excellent choice. I got mine a couple months ago and it is really comfortable, with top cover or bug net. My Raven is more comfortable than my Dream Darien, and I really like the feel of the HyperD fabric.
