Tarp Flyz or Other Hardware Compatibility

Anyone have any luck with Lawson Guywire and Tarp Flyz? I believe Guywire is 2mm.

If you mean the 2mm Lawson Reflective Glowire that Dutch sells, it just barely fits (as long as you shape the melted ends well):

I tried and tried yesterday and couldn't get it through. Reflect-it works like a charm.
    I sew things on youtube.
I don’t sew on commission, so please don’t ask. Thanks.

Are you able to splice Lawson cordage? I'm not sure I use reflect it, and it's just awesome IMHO.

Another note, I've been looking at the tarpworms, and hookworms. How do they hold up in high winds? They look so simple to use, I find it hard to believe such a simple connection to be really that good, but Dutch has surprised me before.

Titanium is pretty strong. I have some 1.75mm cord but I also have about 100ft of Lawson's non-reflective guy wire that I was planning to use. It seems that 2mm may be sightly to big to be compatible.

You may try JesterC advise and heat the ends and shape them to a cone.

I'm sorry I didn't mean the device it's self, I was curious if the simple loop actually held in high winds. I wasn't sure if a bite like that could withstand heavy storms and wind.

I went against my better judgement and answered your question the wrong way. As far as the knot goes, a half hitch is very secure and two half hitches can hold the devil.

It does look like it'll fit just fine from that picture. I have the same cordage minus the 3m reflective material on it.

Good to know, now just to get a few and test them first hand. I hope you're able to figure out something with your flyz.

I usually don't bother backing up with a half hitch, and the fleas hold up great in wind. Love them.

I have some fleas, but I was eyeing the tarpworms.
