3 to 5 mile hike in the Daniel Boone National forest

Looking for any recommendations for later this summer. Need a 3 to 5 mile hike and prefer a not to busy part of the park. Access to water is a plus. One last item is I will be hiking and camping with my dog.

    Thanks for any help.

3 to 5 miles is a pretty short hike to not be in the busy parts of the park. Weekends will be busy unless you are willing to hike farther, weekdays not so much. The Clifty Wilderness region is by far the less travelled. Swift Camp Creek (219) to Wildcat Trail (228) might be close to that mileage. Here's a PDF with maps and trail miles: https://toredrivergorge.files.wordpr...iver-gorge.pdf
    Thanks,

If your looking to be in a more isolated area check out the Cave Run Lake section of the D.Boone forest. An out and back on a section of the Sheltowee Trace would be possible as well. Here are some links to give you some ideas. Hope you enjoy!

I think many of our State Parks frown on having pets on their trails. So I would suggest staying out of Natural Bridge S.P. and Cumberland Falls S.P. But you could call and verify before going.
