    Hello from Singapore!

I am very new to hammock camping, only recently purchased a Hennessy Hammock (Expedition model) last year and has been hooked! I have been making a camping trip pretty much almost every month to test my hammock. I have also bought a xenon hex tarp from dutchware and some rigging to pimp out my hammock. I have even convinced a few of my friends to use hammock for camping. In a tropical country, I think, it is the most comfortable option. It has been an interesting journey, my main problem right now are the mosquitoes when camping! They bite my back through the hammock bottom...I intend to rectify the problem by using a space blanket as an underquilt that will press into my back when I lay on my hammock, as I recall, mosquitoes cannot pierce through the mylar sheet, it may also help to keep my back slightly warm.

For any Singaporeans here, I camp on Ubin island, although I am always looking for other place to set up my hammock, so if you have some nice place or would simply like to join us, just msg me!

Welcome to Hammock Forums Young. A double layer hammock can help with those mosquitoes but I've seen big ones bite through that as well. Congrats on getting in the air.

Testing the Dutchware xenon hex tarp that I received today, so excited that i had to test it at lunch break during work, it works great! Feels really roomy inside since i can pitch it higher.
