From Harrisonburg, VA in the Shenandoah Valley

I am going to depart Front Royal on Saturday, August 5th. I am hoping for about 100+ miles a day. I am still studying the route, and the stops.

You must either enjoy the heat or warm weather simply doesn't bother you because you've sure picked a hot time of the year. Of course if you're still on the road by September temps will have begun to cool down some I imagine. All the best to you, enjoy yourself, and stay safe.

If you need any help getting the hang of this stuff give me a shout. I mountain bike on the western slope on the Nut a couple times a week and do some bike trips through out the year as well. I could totally help with any of you packing needs.
