I went last year around this time and froze my butt off even with a 20o everything. Also, take lots of photos, and stops to enjoy the scenery. The hike itself is not strenious. My little group did something like 14+ miles without feeling the normal exhaustian from a longer hike in other mountains. The only thing tiring is going through the mud, and water.
So Tips:
Pack Very Very Warm
Pack Waterproof.
Pack Gaiters. Even cheap ones off eBay work better than none.
Don't worry about hammocks, you will find trees.
Bring a Compas and a Map. We got lost because there are no blazes. They only have pole markers and carins.
