Former ground sleeper I got into hammocking because everywhere I went no matter what sleeping pad I took, I somehow always had a stone beneath me. First hammock was a DD frontline, although I eyed the following a lot
- hobo hammock
- Clark Vertex
- Clark NX-270
- dd superlight
What got me was the adventure pack, which came with everything included. (And youtube is full of videos of how to make the Frontline better)
After a couple of nights out in the forest and I ordered my whoopie slings and stoppped using the airmatress pocket in favor of and underquilt.
Tried hammocking in the UK but could never quite find the 2 trees when I was by the coast
Currently waiting to try out the Dutch chameleon and hopefully find a suitable UQ for it.
