Hi,
Sorry to post a new thread on suspension !... I am sure the answer to my question is hidden somewhere in this forum...
I was wondering why there's not more people using the suspension system with the 6" tree straps, the MSH, and then a single cord (Amsteel?) to a ring right by the hammock allowing to adjust the lenght of the cord, which is eventually secured with a slippery half hitch.
Does that not hold? Maybe another type of rope would work better if Amsteel is too slippery for the slippery half hitch.
It seems to solve the weight, bulk and minimum hanging distance issues other methods have, and at the same time allow to adjust the lenght of the suspension with the hammock loaded.
What would be the inconvenient of this technique?
