I will try to remember to bring my altoids-like tins too, and maybe we can have a char cloth bake off My tins are already cooked a little to get rid of the little plasticky flakes that form the first time you char them.

I also have strips of cotton quilting fabric that I can bring -- they fit well in the tins -- though I remember someone (Flash?) mentioning that denim works better for char cloth. Probably not stretch denim, right (since the lycra in it is synthetic)? Any other good fabrics? I can bring a supply from my stash, which I'm sure needs to be culled!

I also discovered that the cat food can stove lights REALLY easily with a fire steel, so she can add that to her repertoire.

You can bring several, as long as they are Damascus, Stainless, or 1095 Carbon Steel, minimum 4" fixed blade, with good thumb jimping on the spine, with a custom leather or Kydex sheath, with a built on Firesteel Loop. Oh, wait! We'll ALL have those! Maybe just bring either a "sawback" Machete or a Leatherman Wave. Actually, since we will all be carrying Bushcraft and probably neck knives, why don't you bring some good Chef's knives for our food prep. Oh, wait! I will have my whole Chef's Knife and utensil bag with me too. Hmmm...

Exactly. That's how we are.
My smart-alec remark is from a funny moment that I experienced at a hang where someone loudly asked the hangers group-at-large "Does anyone have a knife?". Ummm, I probably can't point at anyone that doesn't have a knife.
