That's going to be very cool; the Moroccan Blue is a really nice color. I have a LLG Cayenne Pepper in blue and Charcoal Grey.

Did you contact George which would be the polite gesture.

Agreed, Slug. In fairness, I ordered a simple underquilt available in only one size and limited colors, the shells for which George probably had sitting pre-sewn on a shelf in his shop before he even announced the Operators. If I had ordered a custom Ghost Pepper/Reaper set, that would have to be a different matter. Tomorrow makes 14 weeks since 2/22. While they may have been shorter at the time you placed your order (and while the LLG website has a thorough disclaimer about them), LLG lead times on down quilt orders have been bouncing around between 12 and 16 weeks all spring, so to me that looks like par for the course. AFAIAC the point is moot because George's quilts are always worth waiting for. My Operator Habanero is ahead of schedule, sitting in a bin somewhere in my local post office as I type this, according to a recent text update, so it will be delivered today and I'll be sleeping in it tonight. Thanks again, George.

Edit: Misunderstanding resolved with a phone call.

Yes, our leads are long, and we released the saver and operator quilts as tools to help train our new hires. The shorter leads are for orders going forward.

IMO, you can't get angry at a vendor when you knew what the lead times were for what you ordered when you ordered. That information was clearly communicated before you clicked the "purchase" button.

I think it's great that LL is doing so well that they are able to hire more employees. I imagine their lead times will start to shorten significantly once their new hires are fully trained.

No worries, misunderstandings happen. The long wait is almost over AND your downy goodness is almost done!
