How I fixed my whoopie slings

So I got mad and yanked like hell on the trailing cords of my brand new whoopie slings. Dumb. I searched the forum and found some posts from 2014 where the best suggestion was to make new ones, and in the process of constructing them learn how they are meant to work and therefore not be a dumdum in the future.

But mine are brand new. So I tried to fix them. After the first one went well, I decided to film the second one being fixed, since it's a fair bet I'm not the only one who's done this.

Lol, when I'm woods bound, I throw my frustrations out with a rod and reel. I learned my lesson on a $140 tent when I was younger, very first trip out with it. I've learned since it's usually operator error and to slow down, don't mean I still don't screw up, lol. Thanks for the video.
Where the trail ends the adventure begins!

Take your time with needle nose pliers and pull a little bit at a time. The start is always the hardest, but once you get going they will pull right out.

I'm not sure what happened or what you are fixing... what is going on here?

Yeah...i'm not seeing anything being "fixed" that wouldn't be aligned by weighting (using) the whoopie sling???

They were all frayed and ugly where I had pulled on the cord. And now I'm thinking I spent 20 minures fixing that which was not broken. Doh.

Looks just like mine, with or without trying to pull start it like a lawnmower. They get ugly at the bury point. It's perfectly normal
