Hammock camping at music festivals with no trees, are stands an option?

I know this may sound weird but I love sleeping in my hammock. What are my options for a mobile stand system. I imagine this would be great for car camping but my camping area is not close to the parking area.

Actually, that sounds perfectly reasonable to me; and, I suspect, to everyone else here on the forums. "Weird" would be the person who hates hammocks coming to us for advice.

Also, check out the UK-based 'Ultralight Hammock Stand' (formerly the 'Handy Hammock Stand') http://www.ddhammocks.com/products/hammock_stands. I have one and they are easy to set up, very well designed and strong.

I DIYed mine out of the aluminum military camo net poles. I use two tripods and a ridgeline pole. These come apart into four foot lengths. Works well for me. I looked at the light weight design in the link above and thought that you could easily use four of the netting poles and guy/stake out the tops easy enough. It would be a lot less expensive than the 99lb sterling.
