I acquired these pieces of foam and before I threw them away, I thought there must be something useful I could do with them. Any ideas?

Sew up a uniform and be rodeo clown.
My wife and I have re-covered some padded, fabric seat chairs using foam like that.

Stadium seat pads or do some neat cut outs for cutlery and crockery for a car camping chuck box...

That foam, unless it's very very dense, isn't good for much in the way of seating as it flattens out in a few seconds if not sooner.

If you sleep with a hoodie, then make yourself a custom pillow for the inside of your hoodie. Then your pillow moves with you.

I've used that kind of foam for padding when moving to protect the edges of furniture.
Yeh, I use it to pack furniture and other items for shipping. I work with an upholstery shop making frames and they always have scrap. If you cut it up in cubes and missile shapes you can have a war in your house/shop with your kids. Not that I ever did that with my daughter after school one day...

Pillow isn't a bad idea. You could even cut it up into tiny bits so that you could evenly fill a pillow, and then easily compress it down.
