Dutchware Xenon hex or WB Edge?

Does anybody have experience with both of these tarps? I'm specifically wondering if the grosgrain around the perimeter of the Xenon Hex makes much of a difference in getting it taught. Dutch also states that his tarp has a ripstop grid. I'm not sure if the Edge has that. I currently have the WB Superfly in Sil-nylon. It seems to stretch a little over time.
I'm hoping to go with one of these to lighten the load for summer, yet still maintain good rain coverage. I also like the idea of less stretch with a sil-poly.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I have the edge in ripstop nylon though. So the stretch may be different. Brandon's Sil poly is a non-ripstop material (I just got the cloudburst in Sil poly). Dutch's xenon has a ripstop pattern. Let me dig up a pic of them pitched together.

I know it's not a great comparative because there's no real reference item, but the edge is on the right on the right.

We haven't been out on a real wet trip so I can't speak to the true saggyness of either tarp yet. Hope whatever I have here helps a little.

So the xenon packs smaller and has larger coverage? What is the weight differences in these two if I may ask? (I know they're different denier fabrics)

It comes in a smaller package from the company. But it's deceptive. The edge could compress down that small too.

Anyway the edge is 11.25 oz at 132"x94" and the Dutch hex xenon is 14.3 oz at 132"x108".

A better comparison would be the WB Mamajamba(offered in silpoly) as it's similarly sized to the Dutchware Xenon Hex (and the UGQ Hanger wide).

Thanks Bull. Great pics and info. I think I'm leaning toward the Xenon hex. It looks like it would do better in the rain.....which is usually the only time I use a tarp in summer.

I believe the mamajamba is pretty close in size to the Dutch. However its "base edge" (edge of tarp closest to the ground) is about a foot longer. And it's a wee bit wider overall.

You mentioned that the UGQ wide was close to the xenon hex, is the regular 11' more of a comparison to the edge? Is the 8' width plenty of coverage for heavy storms?

I wanted to start a thread on this but honestly every tarp on my list is mentioned in here and this one is already here.
