    Middle East

    Good day everybody,

I am currently working for a while where it's flat, ugly and dusty. I was wondering if any of the forum sponsors or if any hammock shops that are willing to ship to active military serving overseas?

Haven't found anywhere good to hang my chilling hammock here yet but I am working on it and I am also working on my hammock wish list too since I am not spending any money here.

    Let me know

    Cheers

Welcome from Virginia from a vet.

If none of the shops will, send me a PM with a list and an address. I'll make sure you get what you need.

    Hi Wanderlost,

Thanks a lot for the offer brother, I'll definitely remember it, but in the mean time I'll keep looking around to see if any shop is.

    Any stores selling on amazon?

I slept almost every night of my last deployment in a tablecloth hammock I brought along. However, most of the vendors will ship via APO mail (US Postal Service) without much of a problem. Maybe make friends with one of the Americans around and get them to place and order for you.

I built a stand to hang using some 550 cord and some of the camo netting poles I found in a pile of junk. For outdoor spots your opportunities are going to be pretty limited. Inside a bomb shelter worked OK. There were very convenient rebar loops on the tops of the concrete barricades that were perfect for hanging from.

    Good luck, stay safe!!

A lot of us have extra gear. I'd be willing to send you something. What are you looking for? How tall are you? does the hammock need to be 11' ?

I wish I could sleep in my hammock every nights, that's why I brought it for but it's not happening right now.

Thanks a lot for the offer XJ35S, I am good to go for now, I just want to take advantage of being on an American base so I could potentially buy hammock gear that I usually won't be able to order from home.
