    DIY peak pouch

OK.. Trying to be 'forum correct'..... Here is my solution for storing what you may be carrying while in your hammock. The large loop runs through the whipping and hooks over the suspension and the small loop connects to the ridgeline via prussik or small split ring. The open end is reinforced with a heavy grosgain to aid in loading or unloading the pouch. It's within arms reach for convenience.

Looks good and sturdy. Well done.
I would rather be in the woods... my dog would rather be in the pool. My wife thinks we are both nuts.

Is that the 300 pack cloth from dutch?

I have some of this lying around and may make one of these now that I've seen what you've done - nice work!

How big did you make it out of curiosity?
The want of wandering, and a welcomed whimsy.

No. It is Hex70 from Ripstopbytheroll.com.

Started with a triangle 14" on the 2 two short sides adjacent to the 90° angle.

I would probably make it a little bigger next time as the item it is intended to hold is kind of a snug fit.

If the opening is the right-hand downslant, what keeps it closed?
    Or is it top loading?

Opening is the right downslant . It doesn't close..... There is a 'lip' at the bottom to keep said item from slipping out. The rest of the opening is 'reinforced' with a heavy grosgain to actually help keep it open for easy retrieval.

That's a solid idea. Thanks for sharing your gear pocket.
