    Stake Burrito

No, not the kind you eat.

A lot of us carry a chamois for drying the rain and dew off the tarp. This may be helpful for you?
I trimmed a chamois to 12"x12", paper punched a hole in one corner, and larksheaded some shock cord into the hole. In this case, I used an elastic hair tie, which worked perfectly.

Bundle your tarp stakes. Lay them on the corner opposite the hair tie.
Roll them up, folding in the corners as you go.

Wrap the stake burrito tight with the hair tie.

That's clever. Any concern about debris from the stakes fouling up your towel?

No, since I clean the stakes first.

    Nice idea..

I have a suspension organizer so I don't need to roll my stakes as you did, but I never thought of carrying a chamois..
Yes, my pack weighs 70lbs, but it's all light weight gear....

Wow, excellent double use. Ever since I started carrying a cut down chamois/shamwow (think it is "aqua dry" brand from wallyworld for drying your car) I can't go without it. Super useful. I will have to try this out and see how it works for me, even though my tyvek stake bag is already ridiculously light, could always cut a few more grams, right?
The want of wandering, and a welcomed whimsy.

It's a neat idea. My amok came with a nice stake bag tho but it's a good reminder to tuck a sham wow into my bag lol
