Cheeky Local Overnighter - Blooding Some Noobs

Took the of the chaps from work out to a local wood, for their first ever hang. I am lucky that I have enough hammocks, quilts and tarps for 6'ish people now (summer use, winter - prolly only 3).
Think I have made some converts. Now I have to persuade them that camping to hike is better than hiking to camp (persuade them to leave some of the unnecessary caggage behind).

Thanks to Mike for the photos, I was too busy being mother.

Looks like a blast. I really started enjoying my camping once I lightened my load and hit more trail. If they enjoyed it they'll come again, and again, and again, in time they will lighten that load too.
Where the trail ends the adventure begins!

Great job getting them out there.

"Camping to hike instead of hiking to camp..." I can see where each could be appealing. Learning which one is more appropriate for a given trip is the trick. Happy trails!

Wow. This title sounds so violent for taking new hangers to the woods. I'm not sure I would want to go with you if this is how you describe it

Blooding is an old foxhunting term... I like to chuck in the odd obscure reference (keep you on your toes).

It's my long term plan. I don't know any hangers around here, so I'm brewing my own.
(and one day I may even persuade my family to join me)

Sharing the hammock love, well done.
    Nice woodsy location.
Mountain views are good for the soul....& getting to them is good for my waistline.
