It's so rewarding to turn people into hammockers, and it looks like you did an excellent job.

I've only recently acquired enough gear to be able to loan a setup to a friend, but it was awesome to see his face after his first night hanging. He was going to schlep a 4 pound two person tent for himself! Sad.

Looks like you had some good scenery around to share with them too. Nice work!
The want of wandering, and a welcomed whimsy.

I had the same plan now have 3 guys that join me on trips.
The wifey has been nagging me to do something for my 40th so now she will be joining me with other family members for a campfire chilli and an overnighter.

Oh joy! My prayers have been answered. I'm counting on hearing the true skinny straight from the "warden", aka Nobby's better half. Perhaps we will find out just who the "waffling beefwit" is who has been leading those poor lads astray, including the much maligned "sheep head"

Bluebells, the British woods are stuffed with them at this time of year, before the canopy blocks out the light. The Ransomes (garlic), seared, make a good campfire burger topping.

Took a couple more out on Friday... it's getting popular at work, made three of them hammocks now (and DD are getting some trade!).
The 'chute was a very welcome addition, twas persisting down!

Soggy socks toasting by the fire,

Something altogether more tasty, cinnamon swirls on sticks, a good way to round off a toasted halloumi starter and posh burger main,

And a breakfast of sausage and bacon over a keyhole fire,

Very civilized B&B, with dinner thrown in...no wonder the heathens are being converted.
    Keep up the good work.

    Jus-Rol Cinnamon Swirls

wrapped around a stick, instead of conventionally baked.
