Old Dominion Hangers- Swinging at the Bridge! 2017

One week to go till the Hang! I noticed that as of now, I am the ONLY one on the list for food...(Seems we had someone drop out, cause I know there were others before?) If you are coming, please either sign up for food, or else I will need everyone to chip in since I cannot afford to feed 18 people for a weekend myself. Sorry to sound like a nag, but this is the facts.

I was the one who pulled off the list. With traveling right until Friday midday and jumping in the car to head there, I'm not going to have an opportunity to prep anything. I will be taking care of my own food though...assuming I'm not too jet lagged to make it.

About what time do folks plan on arriving on Friday? And there was some mention earlier in this thread about a map for where we will be - will that be posted somewhere?

I will be there about noon on Friday. I will be posting a map, of the exact location, after getting with the rangers on Tuesday. We have the location but I do want to ensure I have the directions correct. It is right off of Route 11 at the bridge.

Just FYI Tammy and I are about to leave "Minniesconsin" and should be back in the Old Dominion sometime tomorrow evening. It's a 24 hour drive and we are making a stop in Kidron, Ohio to visit Lehmans.
On Tuesday, while back at work, I'll be catching up on the hang. Everything is on schedule for it though. I just need to post the exact location of parking.

Ok folks, I have emailed the park director and am waiting for a response. He has his hands full with this new park though so it could be a bit before he gets back with me.
As for where we will be. I went through our past emails and I do know that we will be in the vicinity of Golf Course Road County Route 760 & Lee Highway (Route 11) I will be putting up some signs (Printer paper printouts in sleeves) with arrows, to point you in. They will read "ODH" and have an arrow. I drive a "Gunmetal grey" Toyota Tacoma TRD, with a camper shell and a Ham radio aerial , plate #KM4COF. There are supposed to be porta-pottys at the location.
I will be getting there early and plan to be onsite by noon. This means I plan to be at Natural Bridge and in contact with the rangers about 10 AM. I will post the exact location as soon as I have it but, for now and for planning purposes, you can use 37.627721, -79.549153 as a location. This is the intersection of Route 11 and Golf Course Rd. This will allow you to plan your drive.
Remember, we have porta-johns but no water onsite. We can get water refills at the Main building but have to drive to it so any water jugs will be helpful, especially since it is summer. I have two folding tables but we could probably use some more. Bring your folding chairs, this is NOT a "campground" and you will want a place to sit.
I just checked the weather and they are calling for "partly cloudy" and a high of around 80 each day except friday which will be up to 86. Low each night in the 60's. No real call for rain but you know this forecast is going to change repeatedly between now and then.
Now, I am about to update the meal sheet. It looks like, including FB and some who do not want their names on the sheet for various reasons, we have about 24 scheduled to attend, at this time. Plenty of room for more!

Just got confirmation from Jim at the park. Everything is still good.
Also checked the weather. High of 90 on Friday and then cooling off the rest of the weekend. No rain called for. Doesn't really look bad.
Meals sheet has been updated. We still need some side dishes and it would be helpful if someone could bring paper plates, utensils, paper towels and the like.

I apologize if my typing is "choppy" but it is difficult to do in this bio-hazard 4 suit. I came back from vacation to find that some sort of "late season flu" is going around my office so I am sitting here, cringing in unholy terror, breathing through this mask, with a crucifix hanging around my neck while trying to eat a case of apples and using only UV lights! Hang on.....SMACK!!! I sear that was a tiny bug crawling across my desk...
