    What should I get

    Hey guys!

I was new to hammock camping a year or so ago and now I love it. I am looking to get a good 4 season camping hammock for use spring-fall in Colorado. Just wondering what you guys recommend for a guy who is 6' 3" a side sleeper and weighs around 220. I have been really researching dream and Clark hammocks.

Either one of those is a good hammock and you'd be well served with either.

    if you're a backpacker..........

i'd recommend an 11 foot single layer model. 1.4 to 1.6 fabric. i always recommend Dutch and will do so here........

as a side sleeper, I'd be awfully tempted to check into the 90 degree hammocks

The Warbonnet Ridgerunner is also a flat lying hammock as well witch works very well with side sleeping.

I've never had a Clark but do own a dangerbird by dream hammock and it's my favorite hammock I've had. In a bed I'm a 100% side sleeper but in a hammock I'm a 100% back sleeper. I can't not sleep on my back in a bed but I sleep on my back in a hammock and can't sleep on my side.

Just because you are a side sleeper in bed doesn't mean you will be a side sleeper in a hammock.

Odd, as I can't sleep on my back at all in any kind of a hammock. I find myself flailing all night long trying to get to my side. I only wish this wasn't true so I could carry a lighter gathered end hammock.

Yea I was surprised that I can sleep on my back in hammock but that's the only way I can sleep in a hammock.

So, what are you using now and why is it not working for you?

I am another who despite how I might sleep in a bed, sleep exclusively, and exquisitely comfortably, on my back in a hammock. How has your hammock experience so far worked with regards to side sleeping?
