Thanks for the review! Looks like there's plenty of things to keep you occupied when dialing it in. To me, 3 lbs puts it in the car camp category. It would be interesting to see how it does in a heavy snow storm. I wonder how the flared out section would take a snow load?

I just checked out the website on the cost. Starts at $289 with a high end of $400 for the winter cover and floor. Wow. It's not for me but I'm sure there's someone willing to ante up the coin for one who wants an all in one solution and doesn't want to do the research on what else is out there.

This is like the Penthouse of hammocks. I can see this as a great hang for car camping, but it just seems too big, heavy, and complex for backpacking.

I saw the video when it came out and I thought it looked like a cool idea that needs some tweaking. Like so many other iterations of new designs; time and development can lead to a new generation of gear.

If my penthouse leaked I'm not sure I would want to stay there for long

I'll tote it in buggy season as my pack is much lighter in warm weather. Don't think it will ever replace my old set up though. Remains to be seen on snow load but I think it would pass muster.
Some will be willing to spend the dough.

Really not complex...just feature filled. Like any system just have to get to know it.
I'll be toting it to test it. I'll skip the big stuffsack.

Yes...at least it is different. The designer is an engineer.

Seam seal as in most pieces of gear.

Was this an over site by the company not to seem seal this area or do they expect the end user to do this?

huh...... Looks like a FEMA shelter of sorts. Interesting design, but my Amok is as exotic as I'm willing to get and I don't often use that any more. It is kinda cool looking though. Kinda like a suspended cottage in the woods. Unfortunate about that leaking zipper though. I'm trying to be positive here, but I'm just not feelin' it. Thanks for the video! Good to see you're out tinkering with things needing tinkered.

Good review, good looking bit of kit but not sure it'd be worth the extra weight and faff in setting up after a walk in. Horses for courses tho and I am always bias as I'm proper tight.
