Question Questions about Simply Light Designs Nexus Net

I am looking for input from someone who has purchased one of these nets. There is not a whole lot of info on the web about them.

What width did you choose and why? I see there are three options, and I am sure they have to do with hammock width. I have an 11' Dutchware normal width, and I would like to know what my best option is.

How good is the seal against the hammock? It looks like windy conditions might cause some flapping of the net, and this could compromise the seal. Obviously, bugs are not a huge concern in very windy conditions, but I am curious.

How is the durability? Repeatedly stuffing rocks, etc into nanoseeum pockets has me a bit worried as well.

    Many thanks!

I have had one for several years. It works great. If you go to Jared's image gallery, mine is the one pictured on the Camo hammock.
I have worn a couple of little holes in one the rock pockets, but it doesn't affect the function. I have since been more careful to pick smooth rocks. I only put rocks in the pocket on my head (left) side and foot (right) side corners.
The net seals just fine and is super easy to get in and out of the hammock.
I can't remember which length/width I picked. I think I just sent Jared and email and asked him which I should get for my 112" hammock Ridgeline.
    Hope that helps.

Was just looking at these and thinking it would be great to have wind-blocking panels on the sides instead of all mesh.

I have three of these, and a fronkey-style net from a different vendor. The fronkey-style nets work fine, but I like the Nexus nets much better because they are much easier to get in and out of. I've never had sealing issues, and no issues with damage to the rock pockets.

In each case, I gave Jared the dimensions of the hammock that I'd be using with the net, and in each case, he seemed to nail it. One was for a 12'X72" hammock, one for an 11'X65"-ish hammock, and one was for a smaller Grand Trunk UL (though I'm relying on my kids' feedback on that hammock).

    I highly recommend these nets.

Strange, the Nexus has been removed from his site. I am a fan of his work and used your link to see what it was and "Page Cannot be Found". I had to use the Google Cache to get a look at it.

That is odd. I just sent them an email to see if the product is discontinued.

You might also find some info here: https://www.hammockforums.net/forum/...d.php?t=129307

Go to the beginning of the post and there's a section for bugnets.
