    Golden Ratio Hammock: Nova

I admit it. I am one of those crazy gals who gets into something and just keeps digging (and digging...). Everything is getting re-proportioned according to the golden ratio these days (not just my rye bread recipe).

Enter the Nova Jungle Hammock, an 11' integrated bugnet double-layer hammock derived from mathematical principles utilizing the golden ratio (specifically the golden pentagram and golden spiral)...hence the name Nova.

Of course it is suspended by rainbows (thank you again kitsapcowboy for those gorgeous rainbows).

I made this for my brother so that it would resemble an oriole. He is really thrilled. I still have to make a peak bag for it. It will be the b/w outdoor ink dragon scales, because orioles have some white feathers too.

My sister Sally did all the mathematics, so this hammock is truly a family affair.

A Super-Nova extra wide hammock is already in the works. It will resemble a blue jay.

That is, quite simply, an astounding piece of design work, from concern through to final execution.

And, you made an awesome instructional video series on top of a sweet hammock!

I am utterly impressed with the results of all your efforts -- but not surprised. Well done!

I watched the video on tie outs last night and have been waiting on the bugnet! Gotta watch it now. Very nice finished product. Looks sharp and very sturdy. Thanks for sharing.
