Whoopie Sling Bead Options

I use a dutch Whoopie Hook. then I larks head the fixed end of the sling to the tree strap, and use the hook on the adjustable end to clip the whoopie to a piece of continuous loop sticking out the end of the hammock. No other attachment gear needed.

You're lucky that amsteel has such high strength and that the two legs of the adjustable loop share the load (leaving you with adequate remaining strength ) because "a single overhand knot" greatly derates the tensile strength of the amsteel.

I would not recommend this method on the general principle of it being bad practice.
