I can't believe I did it! My first homemade hammock, a GE with 1.7 oz ROBIC XL Hybrid ripstop nylon from Ripstopbytheroll. Even though it's basic with simple stitching involved, I had to learn the sewing machine also. Thank goodness for YouTube.
The 1.7 ROBIC material has a great feel and is very lightweight. I'm in love with this fabric and think it would be excellent for a backpacking hammock.
RTBTR's video instruction was so helpful. Big thanks to them for clear instruction and the fab material.
