Okay, I got my tarp back with the pole pockets and I received the pieces to assemble the pole. But I'm not sure what to measure before I start cutting it to length. My plan is to lay the tarp on the floor and measure from the bottom of each pocket and subtract a small amount so there's a little slack. And of course I need to make sure to include the length of the tips in my final calculation before cutting.
The completed pole would then be able to lie flat on the tarp with no additional tension applied.
I know this sounds simple but it's the first time I've built a pole and I want to avoid making a rookie mistake.
Thanks.
